Abochi – New Year Ft. Okyeame Kwame & Dr Cryme
Abochi opens the calendar with New Year and calls Okyeame Kwame & Dr Cryme for the countdown. Track 7 off Okaysions. 2025. Abochi steps into January with intent and stacks the mic with veterans.
New Year is Abochi in resolution mode. The title is forward-facing. No looking back. This is Abochi marking the reset button. The track captures fresh starts, clean slates, and the energy of “this time will be different.” The mood is hopeful but grounded. Motivation over fantasy.
The features are heavyweight. Okyeame Kwame brings proverbs and precision. Dr Cryme brings swagger and punchlines. Abochi sets the table. The Rap Doctor blesses it. Dr Cryme closes it. Three generations of Ghanaian music on one resolution. This is not a party record. It’s a plan record.
The track stands as a single occasion inside a larger project. One song, one date. Three voices, one mission. The production leans Afrobeats with Hiplife DNA. The drums march. The horns lift. It sounds like fireworks and prayer points. This is the point in the EP where the year officially begins.
If you want Ghanaian music with wisdom, energy, and Abochi tapping Okyeame Kwame & Dr Cryme to soundtrack your goals, New Year delivers. It’s built for January 1st mornings, for vision boards, for when you need voices bigger than yours to confirm your plans. This is the track that says “start now.”
In 2025, Abochi uses New Year to extend Okaysions past December. The record works because every listener has a 1st of January. The title is the promise. Abochi hosts. Okyeame Kwame counsels. Dr Cryme hypes. The year starts here.
