Easy (Jeje) by Reekado Banks
Easy (Jeje) by Reekado Banks
Reekado Banks made falling in love sound effortless on Easy (Jeje) and Nigeria felt it. From Spotlight album. Released 1 September 2016. Mavin Records. Altims on production. This is Reekado in lover boy mode.
Easy (Jeje) means “take it easy” or “gently” in Yoruba. Reekado uses it to tell his girl to slow down, no pressure, no rush. The beat is pure Afropop bliss. Soft drums, sweet guitar licks, Altims doing what Altims does. No street aggression. Just vibes and romance.
This was 2016 Reekado Banks in his bag. Spotlight had Katapot for the dancefloor and Oluwa Ni for the testimony. Easy (Jeje) was for the bedroom and the wedding playlist. His vocals are smooth here. No falsetto needed. He’s in pocket, telling her “make we do am jeje”.
The song became a massive radio record. DJs loved it. Lovers loved it. It’s one of those records that made Reekado a ladies’ favorite without him trying too hard. The artwork says it all. Bicycle for two, pink sky, soft life. This is what jeje feels like.
In 2026, Easy (Jeje) still sounds fresh. It’s aged like fine wine because it never chased trends. Real love, real melody, real talk. Reekado wasn’t shouting. He was whispering and the whole country leaned in.
No features needed. Just Reekado Banks, Altims, and a message. If you want to tell her how you feel without doing too much, play this. Spotlight wasn’t just hype. It had heart. Bigxmotion will update with full lyrics + breakdown as they drop.
