Ghanaian Celebrities Mourn 15-Year-Old Javits Frimpong After Tragic Shooting In The US

The heartbreaking death of 15-year-old Javits Frimpong has thrown Ghana into mourning, with several top Ghanaian celebrities joining the call for justice.

According to reports, the young Ghanaian boy was shot and killed in the Bronx, New York, in the United States. His untimely passing has sparked sadness among Ghanaians at home and in the diaspora, with many describing it as a life cut short too soon.

Following the news, a number of Ghanaian public figures took to social media to share their pain and pay tribute.

Highlife star Kofi Kinaata, reacting on TikTok, said it is painful that a place meant to protect and educate children turned into a place of pain for the young boy. He extended his condolences to the family and asked for him to rest in peace.

Actor Prince David Osei also expressed his devastation, calling for justice for Javits Frimpong and saying the news has left him broken.

Hiplife legend Tic Tac, in a post on X, mourned the teenager and noted that no child deserves such a tragic end, describing him as a young angel.

Rapper Sarkodie and Ghanaian-American comedian Michael Blackson also added their voices to the growing tributes online, joining thousands of Ghanaians demanding justice for the teenager.

Tributes have continued to pour in on social media, with many remembering Javits as a bright young soul whose life was taken too early, while sending love and strength to his family in this difficult moment.

May his soul rest in peace.
