Medikal – Broke Nigga
Medikal Flips the Narrative on “Broke Nigga”
“Broke Nigga” is Medikal taking a well-known phrase and flipping it into a motivational cut on _Disturbation 2_. Instead of leaning into negativity, he uses the track to talk about coming from nothing, dealing with doubt, and using that as fuel to build something real.
The beat is gritty drill with heavy bass and minimal melodies, giving Medikal room to switch between braggadocio and reflection. He touches on hustle, betrayal, and the shift that happens when the same people who counted you out start watching when you win. The tone is confident but grounded, making it relatable for anyone who’s had to grind in silence.
What makes the song stand out is the contrast with the title. It’s not a self-pity record. It’s about rejecting the label people try to put on you and proving it wrong with action. On an album that balances flex, features, and introspection, this track sits in the “statement” lane.
If you’re listening to _Disturbation 2_ for the mindset behind the music, “Broke Nigga” gives you a clear look at where Medikal’s drive comes from.
