Olivetheboy – Only You
Olivetheboy – Only You
Olivetheboy runs Only You and the title is the devotion. Track 1. Tanga-Reen EP. 2021. Olivetheboy delivers an opener built on obsession, plea, and alté vulnerability.
Only You is Olivetheboy in fixation mode. The title is the confession. No detachment here. This is Olivetheboy opening with surrender. The track holds one directive throughout: desire. The curation leans on alté R&B, on sparse keys, on solo intimacy. The delivery is tender with tension. Olive enters with vocals that beg and claim. No feature, no decoy. Just Ghanaian new-wave with romantic receipts. The production carries guitar that circles with drums that hesitate. Bassline warm. Tempo yearning. It sounds like Accra midnight texts, like 2021 infatuation, like Only You because nothing else registered. This is not Goodsin. It’s entry.
The record positions itself as the first word. Olivetheboy isn’t testing. He’s declaring. The solo slot matters. This is artist to muse, track 1 offering. The energy shifts from silence to fixation. The tone is soft but certain. Verse pleads, hook clings.
If you want Olivetheboy with intimacy, no assists, and Only You energy on record, Only You delivers. It’s built for late-night replays, for unanswered calls, for when you need track 1 to feel like first love.
In 2021, Olivetheboy used Only You to prove EPs need stakes. The project works because every catalogue needs a record that says it was her first. The title is the focus. Olivetheboy provides the ache. One track, one opening: track 1 belongs to the devotion.
