Talent Is Not Enough; You Need To Be Business-Minded – Bisa Kdei Advises Musicians
Speaking in an interview on Atinka FM on November 3, 2026, Bisa Kdei said being talented is not enough to stay relevant and successful in entertainment. He stressed that artistes also need good management and people who can guide them honestly.
According to him, every artiste needs a small team of trustworthy individuals who are business-minded and bold enough to correct them when they make mistakes.
He explained that having one or two solid people who genuinely believe in an artiste and are truthful is far better than having a large team that only praises them and fails to point out their flaws.
Bisa Kdei also urged musicians to think about life beyond fame and to create other streams of income. He noted that popularity fades with time, so it is important for artistes to plan ahead while they are still in the spotlight.
He advised musicians to be financially disciplined and to invest wisely, rather than spending all their earnings just to impress others.
The singer further cautioned artistes against living to please the public, stating that financial decisions should be based on personal goals and future security.
Reflecting on his own journey, Bisa Kdei said his struggles before fame taught him the value of hard work and financial planning. He revealed that having experienced hardship and hunger in the past, he no longer feels the need to spend money just to gain public approval.
He encouraged upcoming artistes to stay focused, remain business-minded and ensure they have something to fall back on when the fame is gone.
